Willing Service
For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.

Former president Jimmy Carter has become known as one of the busiest and most effective former presidents in history. Realizing he had many productive years left when he returned to private life, he wrote, "Rosalynn and I . . . didn't want to just build a library and go back to farming—we would do things that others wouldn't or couldn't do."
1 Corinthians 12:6-7
It would have been easy for President Carter to have retired to a life of ease, but he chose to continue to serve in ways that were unique to his abilities and gifts. Every Christian should do the same. The spiritual gift(s) we have been given by God qualifies us to serve in ways that those without our gifts cannot. Christians are always eager to discover the will of God for their life. Part of His specific will is that we serve in the area(s) for which He has equipped us. Yes, others have the same spiritual gift you have, but there is no one who has your gift plus your personality and natural abilities.
You are uniquely qualified to serve God in ways that others can't or won't. Rejoice in knowing that part of God's will for your life!
The highest form of worship is the worship of unselfish Christian service.
