Most families have them, and all kids love them: a wild and crazy uncle or aunt who is "way more exciting" than stodgy old parents--especially the uncle or aunt who is younger than the kids' parents and is still single. Those beloved relatives are the ones who liven up the family reunions at Christmas and Thanksgiving or whenever they come to town. Life is always more fun, adventuresome, and even a little dangerous, when they're around.
Matthew 8:23-27
Many non-Christians might become believers if they ever could meet the real Jesus. Never has there been anyone more exciting, adventuresome, and dangerous-yet-safe at the same time. The three years that the disciples spent with Jesus left them in a state of amazement: miracles, shocking words, bold moves, breaking social and religious barriers--there was never a dull moment. But most of all, it was His "words of eternal life" that kept them by His side. What could be more exciting than to spend eternity in heaven?
If your spiritual life has become predictable and dull, it may be because you have not kept close to Jesus--something you can change today.
With the exception of being sinful, everything that can be said about a man can be said about Jesus Christ.
